Community Coat Drive

Give the gift of warmth!  All Burbank School District 111 schools will be accepting clean, gently used coats, gloves, hats, etc. from October 29 thru November 5.  Click here for more information on the coat drive.  If you, or someone you know, is in need of winter gear, distribution will be held on Saturday, November 6.  Click here for more information on the coat distribution day.

VFW Illustrating America Art Contest

The VFW is hosting their  Illustrating America Art Contest for students in grades K-8.  The deadline for student entries is March 31. 

VFW National Anthem Singing Contest

The VFW is hosting their Get Excited for the Red, White, and Blue! National Anthem Singing Contest for students in grades K-12.  The deadline for student entries is March 31.

VFW Patriot's Pen Contest - Deadline Oct 31

The Patriot's Pen program is open to 6-8th grade students enrolled by the October 31 deadline in public, private, parochial school, or home study program in the U.S., its territories or its possessions.  Essays must be no less than 300 words and cannot exceed 400 words.  The deadline for student entries is October 31.

At-Risk Pre-School Screenings

Burbank School District 111 will be conducting a Developmental Screening for 3-4 year old children on January 26, 2022.  The purpose of the screening is to determine the educational needs of your child.  Qualified personnel will conduct a developmental screening in the following areas:  motor development, speech/language, thinking skills, and vision/hearing.  Click here for more information.

2021-22 School Year Plan

Burbank School District 111 plans to return to as normal a schedule as possible for the 2021-22 school year. Below, you will find a link to the draft of the Return to School Plan 21-22, which outlines many of the considerations for a safe return to school in the Fall.  The plan is always subject to change based on any new guidelines released by the Illinois State Board of Education, IDPH or other entity which governs the school district.  An Open Forum for families will be held Monday, June 21 at 6:00 pm at Burbank School, 8235 S.
