My name is Mariette Zielinski. I teach both 7th grade science and social studies at Liberty. Below are a few helpful links that you can use to help your child be successful.
I urge you to keep track of your child’s grades via powerschool. It is the best way for you to see how they are doing in each subject. A powerschool password should have been mailed to you. If it wasn’t, you can request a password in the office. You can find the link to powerschool from the Burbank website.
If your child is sick and going to be out of school for a few days, it is helpful to have someone pick up their homework. The request can be made at the office and the teachers will bring down any work they need to do. This limits the amount of makeup work they need to complete upon returning to school.
Patriot Hour is after school academic support program where students can receive help in any core subject from a teacher. In order to attend, you must sign a permission form signed on file in the office. By signing this form, it doesn’t mean the students have to attend every day. It means that they can attend Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday when they need extra help with a subject.
E-mail is the best way to contact me. If you have any questions or concerns e-mail me at MZielinski@bsd111.org.
I look forward to working with you and your children this year!!
