NO SCHOOL (e-Learning) Due to COVID-19 More Information

This message is for Burbank District 111 Families.  The health, safety, and well-being of our school community continues to be the highest priority at District 111.  We have, in consultation with our neighboring districts, made the decision to close school beginning Monday, March 16th, continuing through the end of Spring Break on Friday, April 3rd.

The following schedule will be implemented:

  • Monday, March 16 - Friday, March 20 - at home learning guided by packets we will send home with students today
  • Monday, March 23 - Friday, March 27 - e-learning opportunities guided by teachers - more information about this plan will be shared next week
  • Monday, March 30 - Friday, April 3 - Spring Break

During the first two weeks of closing, we will continue to provide breakfast and lunch options that can be picked up at Tobin School.  Additional information will be posted on the district website.

Our current plan is to return to normal operations on Monday, April 6th. However, this is a rapidly-evolving situation, which may require changes on a daily basis.  We will update the website with new information as it arises.  We will also send out messages via School Messenger with any significant updates to this plan.

We are in uncharted territories, which can elicit many emotions.  We encourage you to remain calm and continue to follow the guidance of the US Department of Education, Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Stickney Township Public Health District.

We appreciate your patience and support as we navigate this serious situation.
