Welcome students, family and community members to the 2019-2020 school year. My name is Mr. McRae, and I am entering my second year in the Burbank District 111. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education at Eastern Illinois University and a Master’s in School Administration from University of Indiana. I also hold a Superintendent License I received from Indiana State University and is current in both the states of Indiana and Illinois.
This year our theme will be on “Building.” The obvious “building” you see going on around Liberty is the actual physical changes taking place in the building itself. We are excited to be able to watch the transformation of Liberty Junior High to a state of the art school. The new and improved facility will assist us in providing a quality education in a safe and secure environment. Schools are more than just brick and mortar. Therefore, we will also be building into our students both academically and socially to ensure students reach their full potential as socially responsible life-long learners.
We look forward to a great school year and ask for all your assistance to help us “build” a school of greatness. That takes everyone’s help—students, staff, teachers, community and most definitely parents. Jump in and help us “Build” a school of greatness that we can all be proud to be a part of.
