Fall Into Fitness T-Shirt Design Contest shirt

Calling all District 111 artists!  We are asking students to submit a t-shirt design for our Fall Into Fitness Wellness Day on October 19, 2019.  The winning artist will have their design on our t-shirts and they will receive their very own!  This year the winner will also receive a gift card from one of our generous sponsors!  Click here for official contest rules.  All entries must be submitted by September 17, 2019, so start your designs now!  

Park District Teen Mixer - New Location! mixer

The next Burbank Park District Teen Mixer is Friday, September 20 at Burbank School, 8235 S. Linder, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  6-8th grade students only.  $5 at the door with valid school ID.  Click here for more information.  

Reavis HS Fall Arts & Crafts Fair craft fair

Mark your calendars...  The Reavis Fall Arts and Craft Show is Saturday, October 5 from 9 am to 3 pm!  Come and shop for unique gifts among hand crafted merchandise and decor, along with some of your favorite vendors.  Concessions are available all day.  The craft show is hosted by the Reavis Drama Club and all proceeds support their ongoing theatre program.

Maddock Teacher Selected as World History Digital Education Fellow world history logo

Ms. Karen Krzystof-Bansley of Maddock School  was one of only 30 teachers selected as a World History Digital Education (WHDE) Fellow. The highlight of the fellowship was a ten day visit to the Republic of Korea focused on researching Korean history and culture.  The trip was held from July 6th through July 16th and emphasized a deeper understanding of the rich history of the Korean peninsula, including its simultaneous economic growth and democratization. During the trip, fellows explored the history and culture of Korea through key historical sites, museums, and conversations with various scholars.
