Our first online raffle was a success! Thank you to everyone that generously participated and helped Burbank School District 111 raise over $2,000.00 for St. Baldrick's Foundation. Congratulations to all our raffle winners!

Prairie Trails Library Summer Youth Program prairie trails

The youth services department at Prairie Trails Library will be having an online summer reading program this year.  Registration opens June 15.  Click here for more information.  Prairie Trails is also still offering digital library cards to residents of Burbank and Nottingham Park, which will provide access to digital materials while the library is closed.  Parents/Guardians can sign up easily on the website at www.prairietrailslibrary.org.  Prairie Trails has also unblocked cards with fines and will be extending expiration dates on existing cards during the shutdown.  

End of Year Update update

We would like to thank all of our families and students for their consistent effort in finishing the 2019-20 school year strong!   We know that this is not the way we had imagined we would be ending the year, but you have all done an amazing job.

Returning students should have received a personalized letter via U.S. mail that includes a secure log-in snapcode.  Go to the district website, click Returning Student Registration and enter your snapcode to start the process.

Now Available in Burbank: COVID-19 Drive-Up Testing and Services stickney logo

As of Monday, May 4, 2020, Pillars Community Health and Stickney Public Health District are offering drive-up testing for coronavirus (COVID-19) in Burbank.  Limited tests available; appointment required; please call 708-PILLARS (708-745-5277) and follow the prompts.  Click here for more information.

Need Help Buying Food for Your School Age Children?  Apply for P-EBT SNAP Benefits. This is a special benefit that can help you buy food for your school age children 3 to 17 years old and 18 to 22 years old (in high school), who would receive National School Lunch Program free or reduced-priced meals when schools are in session.  Click here for more information.

As many businesses and community supports have been forced to close during the Covid-19 pandemic, the District 111 social workers received a list of resources and adapted the list to our community. Statewide Resources and Supports for Families Illinois

The State of Illinois has a number of programs providing resources and supports for families during the Covid-19 Pandemic.  Supports and resources cover many areas including:  food security, finance, social services, medical/health condition specific, childcare, and education/learning.  

Let’s Make It Count: Census 2020 census

Starting on March 12, the Census Bureau will mail out census forms to every household in the country. The census, required by our constitution and conducted every 10 years, is a count of every individual living in the United States. 

Shutdown Update Archives update

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we continuously adjust to the COVID 19 health crisis.  In accordance with the governor’s order, the district will suspend in-person instruction through April 30.

Grab & Go Meals Update seamless

Free breakfast and lunch meals (with milk) will be provided to ALL CHILDREN 0-18 years of age in our area under a “Grab and Go” program at all Burbank School District 111 K-6 school buildings.  Meals should be requested for only the children living in your own household and are limited to one pick up per day.  There will be no meal pick up during the week of May 25 - 29.  Meal pick up will resume June 1 and continue through at least June 30 over summer break.
