Student Materials Pick-Up - RESCHEDULED curb side

Update.... Out of an abundance of caution we have decided to postpone the student materials pick up scheduled for June 2.  Pick up for students at all of our elementary schools and at Liberty for 7th grade will be held on Wednesday, June 10.  Please follow the schedule and guidelines as outlined for your child's school.  Liberty - 7th Grade Pick-up on June 10  /  Elementary School Pick-up on June 10 

Liberty Drive-thru Graduation grad

Congratulations to the Class of 2020!  Details for the drive-thru graduation ceremony have been finalized.  The event will take place this Saturday, June 6 at Reavis High School starting at 10:00 am.  Click here for additional information regarding arrival times by last name and the procedures to follow during the drive-thru ceremony.

Prairie Trails Library Summer Youth Program prairie trails

The youth services department at Prairie Trails Library will be having an online summer reading program this year.  Registration opens June 15.  Click here for more information.  Prairie Trails is also still offering digital library cards to residents of Burbank and Nottingham Park, which will provide access to digital materials while the library is closed.  Parents/Guardians can sign up easily on the website at  Prairie Trails has also unblocked cards with fines and will be extending expiration dates on existing cards during the shutdown.  

End of Year Update update

We would like to thank all of our families and students for their consistent effort in finishing the 2019-20 school year strong!   We know that this is not the way we had imagined we would be ending the year, but you have all done an amazing job.

Returning students should have received a personalized letter via U.S. mail that includes a secure log-in snapcode.  Go to the district website, click Returning Student Registration and enter your snapcode to start the process.

As of Monday, May 4, 2020, Pillars Community Health and Stickney Public Health District are offering drive-up testing for coronavirus (COVID-19) in Burbank.  Limited tests available; appointment required; please call 708-PILLARS (708-745-5277) and follow the prompts.  Click here for more information.

Need Help Buying Food for Your School Age Children?  Apply for P-EBT SNAP Benefits. This is a special benefit that can help you buy food for your school age children 3 to 17 years old and 18 to 22 years old (in high school), who would receive National School Lunch Program free or reduced-priced meals when schools are in session.  Click here for more information.

Local Resources and Services for Families resources

As many businesses and community supports have been forced to close during the Covid-19 pandemic, the District 111 social workers received a list of resources and adapted the list to our community. These resources are confirmed to still be operational.  This is not a complete list, simply a few resources that remain open during this crisis.  Click here for the local resource list.

Statewide Resources and Supports for Families Illinois

The State of Illinois has a number of programs providing resources and supports for families during the Covid-19 Pandemic.  Supports and resources cover many areas including:  food security, finance, social services, medical/health condition specific, childcare, and education/learning.  

Let’s Make It Count: Census 2020 census

Starting on March 12, the Census Bureau will mail out census forms to every household in the country. The census, required by our constitution and conducted every 10 years, is a count of every individual living in the United States. 

Shutdown Update Archives update

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we continuously adjust to the COVID 19 health crisis.  In accordance with the governor’s order, the district will suspend in-person instruction through April 30.

Grab & Go Meal Schedule for June 1 - July 30 seamless

Free breakfast and lunch meals will be provided to all children 0-18 years of age in our area under a “Grab & Go” program at all Burbank School District 111 K-6 school buildings.  Meals should be requested for only the children living in your own household and are limited to one pick up per day.  

Open Drinks

Open drinks are not allowed on the bus or when entering the building.  Students are asked to discard any open drinks before entering the building. 

Cell Phone Usage Cell phones

All Cell Phones need to be powered off prior to entering the school building.  Cell phones should not be powered back on until students exit the building. 

IDs & Lanyards IDs and Lanyards

IDs and Lanyards need to be visible at all times.  If lost or broken, IDs and lanyards can be purchased in the school office.  A charge for a new lanyard is two dollars. 

Student Drop Off

Students entering door #14 on the east side of building, should arrive no later than, 8:25 a.m.  If your arrival time is after 8:25 a.m., please enter thru the main office door #1.  Students are expected to be lined up outside of their homerooms by, 8:30 a.m.

Uniform Dress Policy

Don't forget the uniform daily dress policy.  The following are not permitted for uniform dress wear: cargo pocket pants, leggings, yoga pants or yoga shorts.  Pants should be navy blue or black business casual pants, shorts or slacks. Shirts and tops should be, light blue or white colored shirts, blouses, tops, or polo shirts. Spirit wear is permitted on every Friday of the month.
