This years reading selection is the acclaimed novel Wonder which has now been adapated for a major motion picture. The evening will have activies to go along with the book, book raffle and a select number of movie passes will be raffled off as well. Burbank Police logo Public Service Announcement - Phone Scams

The Burbank Police Department has been made aware of a couple of incidents (Phone Scams) over the past couple of days where an unknown individual(s) has called a resident impersonating a loved one or has stated they are holding a loved one for ransom. Both calls seem to have a Carbondale, Illinois phone number. The phone number belonged to AT&T on a prepaid number. However; in both incidents, the calls seem to be originating from Puerto Rico based on the information this department has received.

District 111 is once again joining the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) in the fifth statewide survey of school climate and learning conditions.  The survey provides a unique opportunity for teachers, students, and parents to have a voice in improving their schools. Teachers, students, and parents will be asked to take a 20-minute research-based survey to help identify strengths and weaknesses in their school’s learning environment. This survey will serve as an opportunity for schools to reflect on progress since the last statewide implementation.  Parents, please take this opportunity to respond to the 5Essentials survey now at:
